Ross is a minor character in the television adaptation of YOU. He is portrayed by Ryan Andes.
Biography[]
Ross is a private investigator hired by Peach Salinger's family to investigate her suicide.
Season 1[]
Ross is first seen at a coffee shop possibly spying on Annika, Lynn, and Beck. Lynn runs him off, and when Beck asks who that was, Annika explains that he was hired by the Salinger family to look into her apparent suicide. Ross confronts Joe after Joe visits Claudia at the hospital. Ross asks Joe questions such as how he knew Peach and if he had ever been to her house in Greenwich. Ross then asks if Joe spends a lot of time at Beck's place while she's out of town, meaning he had been following Joe for some time. He then brings up Peach's stalker and that it's believed that the stalker may have been involved in Peach's death. He proceeds to tell Joe that they had found an item that is being tested for DNA, Joe remembering about the jar that he urinated in and forgot back at Peach's house. The conversation ends with Ross giving Joe his card. When Joe tells Beck about this encounter, he tells her that Ross didn't buy a word he said. Ross is last seen reading Beck's book, saying "bullshit," implying that he still believes Joe or someone else was responsible for Peach's murder.

Trivia[]
- It is never revealed what item is being tested for DNA, and that the jar of urine is merely a possibility thought of by Joe, meaning that Ross could've been bluffing about it.
- Although urine contains small traces of DNA, it is not nearly as reliable for results as blood or saliva.
- It is unknown if Ross is continuing his investigation as he is not mentioned at all during second season, as Joe left New York with a new identity, it's possible that the case went cold.
