Season 1[]
Roger Stevens is first mentioned by Peach Salinger when she offers Guinevere Beck an opportunity to send him her work and potentially be represented by him. Joe is immediately suspicious of Roger, asking himself why someone like him would be interested in an MFA student. During the party, Joe overhears Peach and Roger criticising Beck's writing and Roger plans to reject Beck from his agency. The day after, Joe tries to tell Beck this, but it ends up in a fight and Beck goes to meet Roger anyway. Roger and Beck meet in his limousine to discuss Beck's work, but it becomes quickly apparent that Roger didn't read her work at all, and admits that he just skimmed through them. Roger begins to grab and touch Beck's thighs, and when Beck rejects his advancements, he attempts to give her pills to calm her down.
