Jasper Krenn was a minor antagonist character in the television adaptation of Netflix's YOU. He is portrayed by Steven W. Bailey.
Biography[]
Jasper was first mentioned to Joe by Ellie, and that Jasper wanted Joe (now known as Will) to return something. Joe goes to Will Bettelheim to ask about Jasper and what he wants, Will tells Joe that Jasper was a client of his but because Jasper was suspicious, Will declined the job but failed to refund his upfront fee. Will tells Joe that he owes Jasper $3,000 and Joe counterfeits a rare book to sell. Jasper is first physically seen outside of Anavrin and Joe gives Jasper the $3,000, to which Jasper replies where the rest of the $50,000 is. A shocked Joe tells Jasper he still needs to get the rest of it, leading Jasper to cut of the tip of Joe's pinky finger and tells him that he'll give Joe his finger back once he gets the rest of the money.
Joe is unsuccessful in finding the money and brings Jasper to the real Will Bettelheim and tells him that he's free to take Will. Jasper tells Joe that if he wasn't able to get the $50,000, then it would be useless to take him. Jasper takes his pocket knife out to kill Joe, but Joe grabs a knife off of his workbench and stabs him in the stomach. Joe then stabs Jasper deeper before pushing him onto plastic foil, killing him (Joe seemed to plan to kill him, that would explain why the plastic was out, to stop blood from getting everywhere).
Joe wraps Jasper up in the plastic, puts him in the trunk of his car, and drives to Anarvin. He moves the corpse to the kitchen and uses cutlery to cut Jasper into pieces, Joe then puts his body parts into a meat grinder. The fleshy bits are then put in bags and thrown into the dumpster outside.
