“ | Wait, I know 𝐘𝐎𝐔. I've been watching 𝐘𝐎𝐔 since 𝐘𝐎𝐔 shoved in with Phoebe. I followed you to that political speech. 𝐘𝐎𝐔 were acting strange, like 𝐘𝐎𝐔 didn't want anyone to see 𝐘𝐎𝐔. There's something not right here. I tried to look him up, but there's virtually nothing. This man isn't what he says he is. He's either a conman or worse!

Dawn Brown is a minor antagonist in part 2 of Season 4 of Netflix's YOU. She is portayed by Alison Pargeter.
Biography[]
Dawn is first seen taking pictures of Joe Goldberg, and she appears to be around every corner. She manages to get a job as a waitress and Kate's event to get close to Lady Phoebe. She approached Lady Phoebe and said she had been asked to escort her somewhere safe, and a paranoid Phoebe obliged. However, she started getting suspicious when the woman, who introduced herself as Dawn, locked them both in a secluded room. Phoebe soon realized Dawn had a mental health disorder which made her believe she and Phoebe were best friends. She knew everything there was to know about Phoebe and had even carved a tattoo on her arm, believing Phoebe had a matching tattoo. Thankfully, Nadia had seen the woman whisk Phoebe away and she told Jonathan. As the pair went in search of Phoebe, Joe came across the room where Dawn was hiding Phoebe. Joe managed to blag his way in before Phoebe took the opportunity to grab the knife Dawn had been holding. Turning it upon Dawn, Phoebe pleaded for her to accept she was not mentally stable and needed help. All the while, Jonathan had used the opportunity to plant evidence of the murders in Dawn's bag, framing her as the culprit. She was immediately removed by security and ended up in prison for the murders.
Trivia[]
- Dawn's unhealthy relationship with Lady Phoebe is heavily similar to Yolanda Saldívar's with the late Texan singer Selena Quintanilla, as both are obsessed with them to the point of considering themselves their "friends" before getting arrested for atrocities committed against them. Saldívar killed Quintanilla by shooting her, while Phoebe managed to defend herself and is still alive, despite Dawn holding her hostage to "protect" her from the Eat-the-Rich killer. In addition, Dawn is also charged, albeit wrongly through Joe Goldberg, with the Eat-the-Rich murders.
- Since Yolanda's case happened in real life, she got a life sentence for murder on the first degree and will be eligible for parole on March 30th, 2025, precisely after having served 30 years of sentence and 30 years after Selena's death.
