CArmela Zumbado (born February 27, 1991) is an American actress. She portays Delilah Alves on Netflix's YOU.

Early life[]

Zumbado, a first-generation Cuban American, was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She is the daughter of Tony Zumbado, an Emmy Award-winning photojournalist, and Lilliam Zumbado. As the oldest of three siblings, she has two younger sisters, Gigi and Marisela, who are also actresses.

Career[]

Zumbado began her acting career in 2012, making her debut with two roles on the television crime series America’s Most Wanted, first as Karen Martinez and then as Teresa Martinez. That same year, she appeared as Rachel in the television film Freestyle Love Supreme, which was later adapted for Broadway. In 2013, Zumbado continued to expand her portfolio with appearances on shows like Necessary Roughness and Graceland. She also made a cameo as a salon salesperson in the film Identity Thief.

In 2014, she made her feature film debut as Jeny B in the action-thriller Need for Speed, which, despite being a commercial success, received negative reviews from critics. During that year, she also made guest appearances on various television shows, including a cameo in the Netflix series Bloodline. Zumbado took on a recurring role as Windi Stewart in the crime series NCIS: New Orleans and appeared as Susan in NCIS: Los Angeles. In 2016, she guest-starred as Denise Martinez on the comedy series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, a role she reprised in 2019.

In 2019, Zumbado starred as Ximena Arista in the drama film The Wall of Mexico, which was well received by critics. That same year, she was cast as Delilah Alves in the second season of the Netflix thriller series You. She also appeared as Paloma Ball in the final season of The Magicians and portrayed Gwen, the ex-wife of Freddie Benson, in the reboot of the sitcom iCarly. In 2023, Zumbado joined the main cast of Power Book IV: Force as Mireya Garcia for its second season.
